Does my donation go directly to an organization?
Yes, your donation supports America’s first responders as well as research to fight Alzheimer’s. Funds are reinvested in the community through trusted charities, scholarships, and programs that make a real difference.
Are entry purchases tax-deductible?
Your entry purchase is a donation to the nonprofit Gas Monkey Foundation. Check with your accountant to determine if your donation is tax-deductible. We do not warrant that your donation is or is not tax-deductible.
How do I sign up to receive support as an individual?
To apply for support, scholarships, or funding, please send a detailed email about the services you are seeking to info@gasmonkeyfoundation.org and our team would be happy to connect you with one of our partners.
What is the minimum amount I can donate?
There’s no minimum amount. Every dollar helps us support impactful programs.
How do I get a receipt for my one-time donation?
Once your donation is processed, you’ll receive a receipt instantly via email. This receipt can be used for tax purposes.
Can I change or cancel my monthly donation?
Yes, you have complete control. You can adjust or cancel your monthly donation anytime through your account or by reaching out to our team at info@gasmonkeyfoundation.org
When will my monthly donation be charged?
Your donation will be processed on the same day each month as the day you signed up.
Will I receive updates on how my donation is used?
Yes, as a monthly donor, you’ll get exclusive updates about the lives your contributions are changing and the communities you're helping to uplift through our monthly newsletter and updates on our website.
Does the car have to be running to be donated?
No, we can accept vehicles that are not running as long as they have an engine and are towable. Complete the online donation form to check if your vehicle qualifies for pick-up.
How long does it take to pick up my donated vehicle?
After submitting your donation request, we will contact you within 24 hours to schedule a pickup. Most pickups occur within 2 to 3 business days.
Will I get a tax receipt for my car donation?
Yes! At the time of pick-up, our driver will provide a receipt that includes your name, the year, make, and model of your vehicle.
What types of vehicles can I donate?
We accept most vehicles, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, RVs, and boats. Unsure? Complete the online donation form to check if your vehicle qualifies.
How do I donate my car?
Simply fill out our online donation form. We’ll handle everything, including free towing and paperwork, to make the process seamless for you.
What organizations may apply to be a grantee of Gas Monkey Foundation?
Organizations applying for funding must meet the following requirements:
- must be a registered tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization classified as a public charity,
- certain types of supporting organizations under Section 509(a)(3), or a private operating foundation,
- must provide support and services to the groups/causes that Gas Monkey Foundation supports that include first responders and fighting Alzheimer’s disease.
